The Patriarch of our legacy. Four decades in the industry. A lifetime of leadership. And a legacy that continues through his family.
Every legacy has a beginning, and at Joseph’s Vintage, so much of ours begins with Nick.
With more that four decades in the industry, Nick has built a career around craftsmanship, education, leadership, and most importantly- people. His journey into the industry wasn’t the path he originally planned. After serving four years in the United States Air Force, Nick decided to pursue barbering and enrolled at Harrisburg Barber School in Lemoyne. It was there that he discovered just how endless the possibilities of this industry could be.
Nick graduated from barber school in 1981, beginning a career that would take him far beyond the barber chair and around the world. Throughout his career, Nick has had the opportunity to work along side and train with some of the most respected names and organizations in the beauty industry including, L’Oréal Institute of Design, Zotos Advanced Premier Design, Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy, Paul Mitchell Advanced Academy, Color Cutting USA, and Regis Corporation.
But while his technical education and experience are extensive, one of Nick’s greatest passions has always been leadership.
He has dedicated much of his career to learning how to lead, inspire, and develop others. Through extensive leadership training and years of hand-on experience, Nick discovered that one of the most rewarding parts of his career was helping other people recognize their own potential.
As a partner in 27 franchised salons, Nick specialized in training and developing staff, management teams, and design teams. He brought that same passion for education and leadership into Joseph’s Vintage, helping shape not only the skills of our team, but the culture behind them.
Nick’s relationship with Paul Mitchell has been another defining part of his career. He has served as a National Educator and International Trainer for Paul Mitchell Systems, earning the distinctions of Master Associate and Premier National Educator. In 2014, he received the prestigious Paul Mitchell Legacy Award – an honor that carries an especially meaningful connection to the story we continue to build today.
Because for Nick, legacy has never simply been a title. It has been a way of life.
His work has been featured in leading fashion and consumer magazines, and his career has given him the privilege of working alongside some of the industry’s top stylist and professionals throughout the Soviet Union, Israel, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, Taiwan, and South Korea.
For all the places his career has taken him and all the accomplishments he has earned along the way, perhaps the most meaningful part of Nick’s story isn’t found on a resume.
It’s found in his family – Nick was inspired by the legacy of his own father, a legacy that shaped the man, father, and professional he would become. The example stayed with him throughout his life and career, and eventually became something he wanted to pass on to his own son.
What began as a father’s experience and a son’s dream became the foundation for Joseph’s Vintage.
Nick and his son didn’t simply open a business together. They built something together that represented where they came from, what they believed in, and what they wanted to leave behind. Their shared vision was to create a place where the traditions of barbering and beauty could live alongside modern education, creativity, and an atmosphere that feels like family.
And with his daughter-in-law joining them in that vision, Joseph’s Vintage became more than a business – it became a family legacy in motion.
There is something special about watching a father take everything he has learned over a lifetime and place it in the hands of the next generation. The lessons, the stories, the standards, the mistakes, the victories – all of it becomes part of what is passed down. That’s what Nick has done.
He has taken the lessons he learned from his own father and the experiences he gathered throughout more than four decades in the industry, and he has poured them into his family, his team, and the place they built together.
Today, Nick continues to mentor and lead the Joseph’s Vintage team with the same passion that has defined his career. But there is an added meaning to that work now. He’s not only teaching the next generation of professionals – he’s helping his own family carry something forward.
And perhaps that is the greatest meaning of legacy: Not simply what you accomplish in your lifetime, but what you teach, who you inspire, and what you leave in the hands of the people you love.

The soul of everything that is Joseph’s Vintage. At the core of Joseph’s Vintage is a legacy that began long before the doors ever opened – and Joey is the person carrying that legacy forward every day.
The family tradition began with his grandfather, and Joey grew up watching that passion and craft continue through his dad. Today, he carries that same spirit forward, building something that honors where his family came from while creating a legacy of his own.
For the past 10 years, Joey has had the incredible opportunity to continue building that legacy alongside his dad. Together, they have taken the foundation their family created generations ago and turned it into something uniquely their own. Through countless hours, big dreams, challenges, celebrations and plenty of hard work, they have built Joseph’s Vintage side by side. What they have created together is more than a business- it is a place where family, friendships, craftsmanship and the next generation can all come together. Watching their shared vision grow over the last decade as been one of the most meaningful parts of Joey’s journey.
Joey is truly the soul behind Joseph’s Vintage – his passion, energy, work ethic, and love for people are woven into everything we do. He works tirelessly for his team and his family, he is always looking for ways to help those around him grow, succeed, and feel supported. But above everything else, Joey takes the most pride in being a dad. He believes in giving his children the love, guidance, opportunities, and foundation they need to become the amazing humans they are. His family is at the center of his why, and much of what he builds is with them – and their future – in mind.
A 1996 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, Joey began his journey behind the chair that same year when he attended the Barber Styling Institute in Camp Hill.
Three decades later, Joey is still doing what he loves – creating, connecting with clients, mentoring artists, and sharing the craft that has been such an important part of his family for generations.
For Joey, Joseph’s Vintage is more than a barbershop and salon. It is a family, a team, a craft, and a legacy.
And every day he works to make sure that legacy continues – not just for himself, but for his family, his team and the generations that come next.

The heart behind the legacy. After graduating from Trinity High School, Tassia changed the direction of her career in her 30s to follow a passion that had been growing alongside her family. When her husband and his dad were ready to build something of their own, Tassia chose to step into that vision and help create the legacy they had imagined together.
Tassia’s journey behind the chair became another important chapter in her story when she joined the Legacy Collective and continued developing her skills as an artist. After completing the program and becoming a Legacy Collective Graduate, she proudly earned her barbers license in 2018. Becoming licensed allowed her to turn her passion into another meaningful part of the legacy she and her family were building together.
For the past 10 years, Tassia and her husband have poured their hearts, time and energy into building their small business and creating something their family can be proud of. Owning a small business has never been easy, but they have embraced the challenges, celebrated the victories, and continued moving forward – all while raising their children and showing them what it means to build something with purpose.
For Tassia, the greatest part of the journey has been knowing that her children get to witness it firsthand. They have seen the long days, the hard work, the sacrifices, the celebrations and the countless moments that make owning a business rewarding.
The legacy they hope to leave their children goes far beyond business. It is about family, perseverance, passion, hard work, and believing in something enough to build it together.
At the heart of everything Tassia does, she is a wife and mom first. Her family is her greatest inspiration, and the legacy she is helping create is ultimately about giving them something that will last far beyond the walls of Joseph’s Vintage.
Ten Years in, she knows that the road isn’t always easy – but she also knows that the legacy they are building together is beyond worth it.

Ali is a licensed cosmetologist and a bright, outgoing part of the Joseph’s Vintage family. A graduate of Susquehanna High School, Ali was a cheerleader during her school years, where she also met her high school sweetheart.
Today, Ali is a proud mom to two beautiful girls, and her family is at the heart of everything she does.
Behind the chair, Ali loves creating experiences that allow her clients to relax, recharge, and feel their best. She especially loves the spa side of beauty, from manicures and pedicures to facials, and enjoys creating an experience that feels like more than just an appointment.
Her outgoing personality makes her a natural at connecting with people, and she brings warmth, energy, and genuine care to every client she welcomes into her chair.
For Ali, building a career in the industry is about more than the work she does. She works hard every day to continue to develop her skills, grow as an artist and build a legacy that she can be proud to pass down to her daughters.
Her journey is about helping create and being a part of something she can be proud of, while showing her daughters that hard work, following your passion and building a life around things that matter most is where a legacy begins.

Jamie is a licensed massage therapist and has been providing therapeutic massage services to clients for over 13 years. She was trained at Space Coast Health Institute in Melbourne Florida, one of the leading massage schools in the country. Jamie enjoys helping people achieve whatever it is they are looking for, whether it be for relaxation or to help with side effects from disease. She performs many modalities of massage such as Swedish, Deep Tissue and Reflexology. She says, “I love and thoroughly enjoy the art of healing with my hands and positive energy. I tailor my massages and techniques to suit the needs of each client and methodically incorporate all forms of massage and relaxation techniques. My daughter, a breast cancer survivor, was able to complete chemotherapy with a drug that causes neuropathy (nerve degeneration in hands and feet) in over 90% of patients receiving the infusion. Through massage, she was able to counteract the neuropathy symptoms throughout her entire treatment.” She provides massage to numerous clients with debilitating diseases such as cancer and Parkinson’s Disease.

Jessie’s journey into the industry is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the right career finds you at exactly the right time – and sometimes, it’s a legacy that has been waiting to be carried forward.
After becoming a wife and mom and established her family, Jessie made the decision to pursue a career in the industry and followed that dream through the Joseph’s Vintage Legacy Collective. Through dedication, creativity, and genuine love for the craft, she completed the program and proudly became a Legacy Artist Graduate.
For Jessie, the word legacy carries an especially personal meaning. Her love for the industry is part of her family story, with her dad being a barber and her sister also working in the industry. Being able to create a career of her own while carrying forward a passion that has been part of her family makes this chapter even more meaningful.
Jessie brings something truly special to her work – an artist’s eye.
An incredibly talented artist on canvas, Jessie has a natural ability to see color, shape, dimension, and balance. She carries that same artistic perspective behind the chair, creating beautiful, personalized work for every client who sits in her chair. One of the things Jessie loves most about her career is the work-life balance it provides. Being able to build a career she is passionate about while still having time for the people and life she loves most has made this journey especially meaningful.
Today Jessie continues to grow, create, and bring her unique artistic vision to every client – honoring where she came from, embracing where she is, and creating the legacy she wants to leave behind the chair.

With 35 years behind the chair, Shelley is a true testament to the artistry, dedication, and longevity that make a career in this industry so special.
A graduate of Mechanicsburg Area High School and Cumberland Perry Area Career & Technical Center, Shelley began her career at Head Hunters, taking the first steps into what would become a lifelong passion.
35 years later, she continues to do what she loves – creating. From dimensional color and beautiful transformations to precise fades and everything in between, Shelley has built her career around versatility, creativity, and the relationships she has formed with her clients along the way.
For Shelley, every client who sits in her chair brings a new opportunity. Every head of hair is a new canvas, and she loves the creative process of turning an idea into a finished look that feels uniquely theirs.
After decades in the industry, Shelley continues to learn, evolve, and find new inspiration in her craft. Her experience is part of her artistry, but her willingness to keep creating is what keeps her passion alive.
Her legacy is more than the years she has spent behind the chair – it is the countless transformations, conversations, connections, and moments of confidence she has helped create along the way.

Nayeli’s journey into the industry began with a passion for creativity, self-expression, and the desire to make people feel their best.
She is a 2024 graduate of Susquenita and Cumberland Perry Area Career & Technical Center, where she studied cosmetology, Nayeli continued her education and growth by joining the Joseph’s Vintage Legacy Collective. She became a Legacy Collective Graduate through her dedication to learning and developing her craft and earned her Barbers license in 2026, marking an exciting new chapter in her career.
For Nayeli, no two days behind the chair are ever quite the same. Each day is an adventure filled with new techniques to learn, new styles to create, and new opportunities to bring a client’s vision to life. She loves the creative process of working with each individual and discovering what makes their look uniquely theirs.
Her time in the industry has taught her that beauty and barbering are about so much more than hair. They are about self-expression, confidence, connection and transformation. There is something powerful about helping someone see themselves in a new way and leaving the chair feeling refreshed, confident, and completely themselves.
Nayeli is excited to continue growing her skills, exploring her creativity, and building her own artistry behind the chair. As part of the Joseph’s Vintage family, she is embracing every opportunity to learn, create, and build a legacy behind the chair.

Chevelle is in the beginning of her Legacy. We’re so excited to introduce you to Chevelle, one of the newest members of the Joseph’s Vintage Family. Chevelle is a graduate of Cumberland Perry Vo-Tech where she began building the foundation for the career she has been dreaming about.
She’s always known she wanted to be part of the beauty industry to create, connect with people, continue learning, and turn her passion into a career. Now she’s taking that next step and turning her dream into a reality.
Joining Joseph’s Vintage gives Chevelle the opportunity to take everything she learned in school and continue developing those skills in a real salon environment, surrounded by artists who are passionate about teaching, sharing their knowledge, and helping the next generation grow.
We believe that being part of this industry is about more than learning techniques. It’s about building confidence, finding your own artistry, creating relationships with your guests, and becoming the artist you’re meant to be.
We’re so excited to be part of Chevelles journey and to watch her grow from the beginning of her career into the artist she’s dreaming of becoming.

From learning the craft to getting ready to earn his place behind the chair – Dan’s journey is coming full circle.
As a member of our Legacy Collective, Dan has spent countless hours learning, practicing, growing, and developing the skills needed to begin his career as a barber. Now, that he is just about finished with his required hours and is getting closer to one of his biggest milestones yet – taking his barber tests.
Throughout his time with Joseph’s Vintage, Dan has worked hard to learn the technical side of barbering while also understanding the importance of consultation, communication, attention to detail, and creating an experience that makes every client feel welcomed.
Reaching this point is a reflection of the dedication and time he has put into his craft. But this isn’t the finish line – it’s the beginning of his next chapter.
We are incredibly proud of the progress Dan has made and excited to watch him take his next step. From apprentice to barber, he is building a foundation that will carry him into a career of his own while becoming part of the next generation of the Joseph’s Vintage legacy.
His hours are almost complete. His test is on the horizon. And his barbering journey is just getting started.

Olivia began her journey with Joseph’s Vintage as part of our Legacy Collective, growing her skills, building her confidence, and learning the craft in an environment rooted in education, creativity, and community. As she continued to develop, she became part of our Legacy Artist Collective, furthering establishing herself as a talented and valued member of our team.
Today, Olivia is taking time away from the industry to focus on growing her beautiful family – a season of life that we are honored to support and celebrate with her. While her time behind the chair may look different right now, her connection to Joseph’s Vintage has never changed.
Whenever she has the opportunity, Olivia finds her way back to the shop. Sometimes that means getting behind the chair and reconnecting with clients. Other times, it means stepping in to support the team whenever she is needed. Whether she is creating, assisting, encouraging, or simply spending time with us, her presence is always meaningful.
Olivia has a way of brining warmth, creativity, and genuine care into everything she does. She understands that being part of Joseph’s Vintage is about more than a schedule or a title – it is about belonging to something bigger and continuing to support one another through every season of life.
Her journey is a beautiful reminder that a legacy is not defined by how often someone is present, but the lasting impact they make when they are here.
