Make a ReservationIt all started with Barber Joe, when he opened Ortega's Barbershop in Lancaster. With decades of faithful clients and many memories made, Joe closed the doors at Ortega's Barbershop November 21st 2015, after 52 years in business. While it would have been heart filling for Joe's son Nick or grandson Joey to take over Ortega's Barbershop, both Nick and Joey have such loyal clients, here in the Mechanicsburg area, they weren't ready to say goodbye too. So new doors open and a journey for a father and son begin and a family tradition lives on!
Meet Our TeamWe are a Paul Mitchell Focus + Salon, and we’re proud to offer the finest in hair care for all hair types. We are also active participants in a nationwide anti-bullying initiative. We know that our words and actions are powerful, and that together we can encourage our community. Every day is an opportunity to be positive and help build others up!
We are family owned and operated and are very family oriented—both in the shop and out! We pride ourselves in providing you a shop where we can offer many different services for everyone in your family. In fact, we have many multi-generations clients that come into the shop regularly. Most importantly, when you and your family are here, you will be treated like an extension of our JVBS family.

I married my high school sweetheart. The job market in 1980 was not the best. So my father had a barbershop and he provided for the family very well through the years. I said well at least I will learn to do that since it is just 9 months of schooling until I decide what I really wanted to be when I grow up,” said the younger Ortega, who is currently a co-owner.
